Surf Camps in Daytona Beach
Vast Oceans runs one, three, and five day surf camps in Daytona Beach from $80, 2.5 hours a day, taught or led by pro surfer Ryan Ragan.
Our surf camps are for people of all ages, we group students according to their ability using the buddy system, so beginners and returning surfers both get a week that fits them.

Our surf camps are for people of all ages: kids from 7, teens, adults, and total beginners.
Grouped by ability
We group students according to their ability using the buddy system, so nobody is stuck in the wrong water.
2.5 hours a day
Each day is about 2.5 hours: a beach-safety tutorial first, then plenty of time in the water with a pro.
All gear provided
Free use of surfboard and leash, and a wetsuit or rash guard. Just bring sunscreen, water, and a towel.
Free practice after
Free 30 minute practice if boards are available. Stay out and work on what you just learned.
Lightning = reschedule
If lightning or unsafe conditions come up, the lesson is cancelled on the spot and rescheduled with you directly. Rescheduled, not refunded.
Meet at Sunsplash Park, south end
Meet by the picnic tables, showers, and beach stairs at the park's south end. Free parking.
Lifeguarded beach + pro instructor
Volusia County Lifeguard Headquarters anchors the park's north end, and pro surfer Ryan Ragan leads the lessons.

Q.02Does my child need to be a strong swimmer?
Talk to Ryan about it when you call. Every day starts with a beach-safety tutorial before anyone gets in the water, and we teach at Sunsplash Park, home of the Volusia County Lifeguard Headquarters. If you're unsure about your child's confidence in the ocean, say so on the phone. He'll tell you straight whether a camp is the right call.
